Why a separate checklist for Oman?
Tracking in Oman can involve more than one body. A telecom regulator can set rules for the service itself: who may run it, where subscriber data is kept and which SIMs are used. A ministry can set rules for trucks and transit vehicles. Client programs add their own. The questions are easy to mix up when they live in different documents.
This checklist puts them in one place and keeps the answer next to the document that proves it.
How to use the checklist
- Fill the Profile. Pick your role. Rows that are not yours turn to Not in scope.
- Read the official text. Open the sources in the Source log, write what they say and the date you read them.
- Answer each row. Choose Yes, Partly, No or Not applicable. Name who is responsible and a due date for every gap.
- Enter your documents. Put the dates printed on each document in the Expiry tracker.
- Read the Summary. Start with the critical gaps, then the open rows.
How the status is decided
Each row gets a status from your answer and from the Critical flag. The flag is a suggestion. Change it to match your own risk view.

Tracking expiry dates
An authorization, a device approval or a hosting contract can lapse without anyone noticing. The Expiry tracker counts the days left from the check date. The renew-soon window is a typical value you can change.
Typical value. Replace it with your own window.
Sources to read
Start with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority website and the Oman legal portal. Then read the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology decision on trucks and transit vehicles, and your client program text, if you work for an operator.
Rows about customer contracts and driver privacy depend on local law. Ask your legal adviser. The file does not say that any law or decision is met.
Limits of this checklist
It records your answers and reminds you of dates. It does not read the law for you, it does not contact any authority, and its summary is not a compliance decision.
