Why check the steps in this order?
A device sends data through a chain: power, SIM, network, data session, server, platform. If a link early in the chain is broken, nothing after it can work. Checking in order finds the cause faster and stops you changing settings that were fine.
Step 1 asks about other devices on purpose. If many devices stopped together, the problem is on the server, the platform or the carrier, and no visit to a vehicle will fix it.
What to record
Use the log on the last page. For each case write the steps you tried, the step where it failed, the cause and what fixed it. After a few weeks the log shows patterns: one carrier, one installer, one batch, one kind of vehicle.
Facts to fill in once
Page 1 has a short table for what only your device manual can tell you: what the LED shows, the supply voltage range, how to read the status, the first-fix time, the report interval, how to send a setting and who to contact. We do not guess these. Fill them in once and the flowchart becomes specific to your device.
Work safely
Disconnect the vehicle battery before you work on the power wiring, and follow your own site and workshop rules. Never bypass a fuse.
Limits
The flowchart is a general order of checks. It does not give device commands, LED meanings, APN values or server addresses, and it cannot see inside your platform. If a step does not fit your device, follow your supplier's instructions.
