Will a tracker still connect after 2G and 3G close? Tick the technologies and LTE bands of your device, pick a country, and see which operators it works on and what is lost when the old networks go. The operator data is preliminary.
A preset only ticks the boxes below. Tick or clear any box to match your own datasheet.
Typical module values. Replace them with the technologies and bands in your device datasheet. Operator data is preliminary.
The operators of this country are compared with your device.
The result uses the device ticked in the first tab.
The first tab's country, or every country in the list.

A device that connects to a network may still need type approval before it is sold or used in a country. Check the regulator's own list. The tool compares networks only.
A tracker connects only if its modem supports a technology and a radio band that the operator runs. In the Gulf, operators have closed or are closing 2G and 3G, and each uses its own LTE bands. A device that worked last year can lose its network, and a unit bought for one country may find no band in the next. This checker puts the device and the operators side by side.
The Operator check tab compares your device with every operator of one country and gives a verdict for each. The Several countries tab does the same across a project and suggests the bands that would add coverage. The 2G and 3G closure tab removes the old networks and shows which operators the device depends on them for.
For each operator the checker tries every technology of the device and keeps the best result. A shared LTE band, or a running LTE-M or NB-IoT service, gives Works. A 2G or 3G network that is running, or whose status is in doubt, gives Check, because it can close. A band list that is missing in the record also gives Check, since a match cannot be confirmed. A closed network, or no shared band, gives Does not work.
A country is Works only when every operator in it works. When the closure tab removes 2G and 3G, an operator counts as depending on them if the verdict gets weaker. The band suggestion picks, one at a time, the band that adds the most operators that still do not work.
Take a 4G device with bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 and 28 and a 2G fallback. In the preliminary Saudi Arabia record the three operators list bands 1, 3 and 40, bands 3 and 38, and bands 1, 3, 8 and 38. The device shares bands 1 and 3, band 3, and bands 1, 3 and 8 with them, so all three operators show Works.
Now take a device with only 2G. Each of the three operators has a 2G status that is running, differing between sources, or not known, so none shows Works. Each shows Check, and the closure tab shows all three as depending on 2G. The same data tells the buyer to look at a 4G unit before the old network closes.
The operator data is preliminary. It comes from public notes, it has not been verified with operators or regulators, and it is editable data in the page configuration. The tool marks every network status as preliminary, shows no closure dates, and does not claim that any operator confirmed a band. It does not cover 5G, the bands of 2G and 3G, or roaming agreements. Tracom publishes no band list for its devices in this tool: enter the technologies and bands from your own datasheet. Confirm everything with your operator before you buy or install.
Tell Tracom the countries and operators of your project and we will discuss which device fits them. Once a device is chosen, prepare its APN and server settings with the SMS command and APN builder.
It compares the technologies and LTE bands you tick for a device with the preliminary record of each operator: 2G and 3G status, LTE bands and LTE-M and NB-IoT service. It gives one verdict for each operator and for each country.
In the preliminary data, band 3 appears for every operator that lists its bands. Bands 1, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41 appear for some of them. A device with several of these has more operators open to it. Confirm the bands with each operator.
Sources disagree for several operators and the position changes over time. The checker marks such a network as Sources differ instead of guessing, and a device that depends on it is shown as Check, never as Works.
No. A device that connects to a network may still need type approval before it is sold or used in a country. Check the regulator's own list. This tool compares networks only.
Either the operator's bands are not known in the record, or the device shares no band with it and only an old network is left. Open the operator rows to see which, then confirm with the operator.
Not yet. The operator data is preliminary, taken from public notes and not yet verified with operators or regulators, and Tracom publishes no band list for its devices in this tool. Tracom does not run the networks and cannot see your operator contract, so confirm the bands and the network status with your operator before you buy or install.
Send us the countries, the operators and the number of vehicles. We will discuss which device fits and what to confirm with each operator.
