Which clips should you review first?
Review serious events and repeats before routine ones. The playbook sheet gives a simple grid of severity against repeats in the period: a serious event the second time is reviewed first, a minor event the first time is a routine review. It is a guide to order, not a rule.
How do you run a coaching session?
The script sheet has 11 steps and takes about 35 minutes:
- Prepare: watch the clip alone and choose one behavior.
- Set the place: private, phones away, sit beside the driver.
- Open, then watch the clip together once.
- Ask an open question, listen and acknowledge.
- Share the data, agree a different action and the support needed.
- Record, set a follow-up date and close.
Each step has example words you can use or replace. If the driver disputes the clip, note the comment and ask for a second review.
How do you know coaching works?
The Summary sheet compares confirmed events per 100 km before and after coaching. You type the events and the distance for both periods and the sheet shows the change. A fall can have other causes, such as season, routes or vehicles, so read it with care.
Limits of this template
It organizes your own review and coaching. It does not detect events: that is done by your camera system and platform. Use clips only as your camera and privacy policy allows. Tampering and hiding a fault are handled under company policy, not by coaching. The limits are placeholders, not a requirement of a regulator or a client.
Reviewing clips and scoring named drivers touch privacy and employment rules that differ by country. Have your legal adviser review your camera policy and how you use clips for coaching. This file does not state that any law is met. Keep it with restricted access: it holds driver data.
