GPS tracker platform compatibility matrix and setup finder

Pick a Tracom device and the platform you run. See whether the pairing is confirmed, what Tracom still has to confirm, and the values you need to connect it. Then check your server, port and device ID before you touch the device.

A pairing reads confirmed only when Tracom has published it. A protocol, port or command appears only after Tracom confirms it. Nothing on this page is guessed.

ST100 is the GPS tracker. M1N is the MDVR.

How your platform receives the data. Tracom names no platform: the ST100 works with other platforms through a documented protocol. Ask the Tracom team for the protocol document.

How to read a status

Each cell of the matrix holds one of four statuses. Tracom sets a status only after it has checked the pairing. Until then the cell reads to be confirmed, even for common methods.

Integration methods in the matrix

This table is the shipped list. It names ways to receive device data, not platforms. Tracom staff update it as pairings are checked, and the tool reads the same list.

Ask the Tracom team for the protocol document

Tracom ST100 works with third-party tracking platforms through a documented protocol that Tracom shares with partners. Your platform team implements it, or uses the method Tracom confirms for your project. A row names a method, not a platform or an offer.

From device to platform

Data takes five hops. A connection fails at one of them, so the finder is organized around these points.

Device1SIM andAPN2Mobilenetwork3Server andport4Platformaccount5
Fig. 1 The five points where a connection can fail
  • Device. Powered, with a GNSS fix, holding the right ID and the right server values.
  • SIM and APN. An active data plan and the APN your SIM provider gives.
  • Mobile network. Signal at the vehicle and no block on the SIM.
  • Server and port. A public address, an open port and the right protocol listening on it.
  • Platform account. The device created with exactly the ID the device sends.

Values you need first

Collect these before you configure a device. The finder checks the ones marked as checked and leaves the rest to the people who own them.

Reference ports

The IANA registry assigns default ports to some transport protocols. They are a reference only. A port in this table says nothing about which protocol or port a Tracom device uses.

Registered ports in the IANA registry
ProtocolDefault portStatus
MQTT1883Checked 3 Nov 2026
MQTT over TLS (secure-mqtt)8883Checked 3 Nov 2026

Source, checked 3 November 2026: the IANA service name and port number registry. The private address ranges in the checks are from RFC 1918, and the IMEI check digit uses the Luhn formula named in GSMA TS.06.

Check the protocol document first

Your platform and the Tracom protocol document set the real port. Check both before you open a port or send a command.

Check before you configure

The Connection check tab applies three plain rules. A pass means the value is well formed. It does not prove that a server is online or that the number belongs to your device.

  • Server address. A DNS name, or an IPv4 address with four parts from 0 to 255. Private ranges such as 10.x.x.x and 192.168.x.x cannot be reached from a mobile network.
  • Port. A whole number from 1 to 65535. Ports below 1024 are rarely used for tracking.
  • Device ID. A 15-digit IMEI ends in a check digit worked out with the Luhn method, so one mistyped digit is caught.
First 14 digits of the IMEI: 49015420323751 Double every second digit from the right: 1 7 2 0 4 1 9 → 2 5 4 0 8 2 9 (a result of 14 becomes 1 + 4 = 5, and a result of 18 becomes 9) Sum = (2+5+4+0+8+2+9) + (5+3+3+2+5+0+4) = 30 + 22 = 52 Check digit = (10 − 52 mod 10) mod 10 = 8 → full IMEI: 490154203237518

Platform not listed

A platform that is not on the list is a request, not a dead end. Open the Your platform tab and describe it.

  • Enter the platform name and its type.
  • Add the protocol it accepts, if you know it.
  • Pick the device and the number of units you plan.
  • Copy the summary into your message on the contact page, or keep it with the report you request.

Assumptions and limits

  • The matrix lists pairings, not product features. A confirmed status applies to the date shown. Ask Tracom whether a later update on either side changes it.
  • Until Tracom confirms a pairing, it reads to be confirmed. This page names no third-party platform and does not claim that a Tracom device works with a specific one.
  • The checks are format and number checks. The page never connects to a server.
  • A Luhn pass does not prove the IMEI belongs to your device. Compare it with the device label.
  • The matrix lists integration methods. Tracom does not list or recommend any third-party platform.
  • Reference ports come from the IANA registry and are not Tracom values.
  • Everything you type stays in your browser unless you ask for the report by email.

Ask Tracom to confirm your pairing before you plan the rollout

Tracom confirms platform pairings device by device and publishes the connection values with the date it checked them. If your platform is not on the list, tell Tracom which one you run.

  • SCMS portal for device settings and configuration files in one place.
  • Advanced configuration files that carry the same setup to every device.
  • Real-time SMS adjustments to change a setting without a site visit.
  • Over-the-air updates so devices stay current.
Questions

Questions about platform compatibility

Running a platform that is not listed? Tell Tracom.

Which platforms work with Tracom devices?

Tracom ST100 works with third-party tracking platforms through a documented protocol that Tracom shares with partners. Ask the Tracom team for the protocol document. Any other method counts only when the matrix marks it confirmed.

Why does the finder show no port or command for my device?

Tracom has not published those values for that pairing yet. A guessed port can send your data to the wrong service, so the finder shows nothing until Tracom confirms it. Ask Tracom for the values.

How is a device ID checked?

A 15-digit IMEI ends in a check digit calculated with the Luhn method. The finder recalculates it and tells you when it does not match, which usually means a typing error.

Can I use a private IP address as the server?

Not for a device on a mobile network. Addresses such as 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x to 172.31.x.x and 192.168.x.x work only inside one network. Use a public address or a name.

My platform is not listed. What do I do?

Open the Your platform tab, enter the platform name, its type and the protocol it accepts, and keep the summary with your report. Then contact Tracom.

Does this tool connect to my server or configure my device?

No. It runs in your browser, sends nothing, and checks only formats and numbers. Tracom configures devices with its own tools, and only Tracom can confirm a pairing.
